Welcome to the beginning of our Acne Bootcamp! The Face Reality Acne Bootcamp is designed for those who are serious and committed when it comes to getting acne under control. It is a prescription-free acne regimen that uses homecare and biweekly in-clinic treatments to take control of acne. We take the time to educate our patients and give them confidence that acne can be managed with the right tools. With commitment to a home care regimen twice a day, in-clinic treatments, and the willingness to make the necessary lifestyle changes, patients see results in 3-6 months, depending on severity and acne type. Your initial consultation will be an hour and a half introductory, in-depth meeting with our Acne Specialist. We will take the following steps: 1. Conduct a visual and palpation skin analysis and determine your acne type and grade. 2. Go over aggravating factors that make you break out — diet, medications, supplements, cosmetics, lifestyle factors and habits that can contribute to breakouts 3. Teach you how to check your skincare products for pore-clogging ingredients. 4. Educate you about the information of acne and how our system works to target problem areas and get results. If you are a candidate for the program and are committed to getting your acne under control, we will take the following additional steps: 1. Determine your skin tolerance for our professional-strength products and perform an allergy test. 2. Develop an individualized home care regimen with Face Reality acne products specifically designed for your skin type and acne needs for the first 4 weeks. 3. Schedule your first in-clinic treatment and get you started on an appropriate level of exfoliation, hydration, and extractions, Be prepared for a chemical peel. Stop all active ingredients 3 days prior. No facial waxing within 24 hours of Acne Peel. We will see you every two weeks for your acne treatments and assess what treatment your skin needs when you come in. We will also review your home care regimen, adjust if necessary, and discuss any concerns you may have. • Purchase of the Face Reality home care treatment products are purchased separately and required for participation in the program. They are not included in the consultation fee or in the in-clinic treatments.
