BEHIND THE BRAND
Laura Cooksey founded Face Reality in 2005. She had struggled with acne from her teens until her mid-thirties, at which point she finally found an esthetician who helped her get clear skin. This experience inspired her to become a licensed esthetician to help others achieve long-term clear skin in a safe, effective way. After practicing solo for 15 years, Laura opened an acne-only clinic in 2005.
She then expanded her reach nationally and began a community of Certified Acne Experts whom she trained in her proven acne treatment protocol and began selling the Face Reality products to allow them to help their own clients achieve clear skin. Fifteen years later, Face Reality boasts more than 1,000 Face Reality Acne Experts and has been voted the #1 Acne Professional Skincare Line 4 years in a row.​

Chief Executive Officer
Jeremy Soine, CEO of Face Reality Skincare, has spent his career building high-growth, disruptive consumer brands. Jeremy earned a BS in Economics at the University of Puget Sound, and later earned an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. During his career, Jeremy has worked across all major functions—Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations, helping to shape his total organizational perspective. He has had broad industry experience in wine, food and many years in skincare. Jeremy joined Face Reality as CEO in 2020 with the goal of fostering long-term relationships with Acne Experts who are a crucial part of Face Reality’s mission to help as many people as possible experiencing acne achieve clear skin.

Face Reality Skin Care products are specifically formulated for acne-prone skin and work by preventing clogged pores. Their products work through a curated formula with ingredients including:

Mandelic Acid: Mandelic Acid is made from the right balance of L-Mandalic Acid and L-Lactic Acid. It has a heavier molecular weight than other alpha hydroxy acids allowing for a more gentle, even exfoliation to occur.
Benzoyl Peroxide: Benzoyl Peroxide drives deep into pores to clean them out and fight against acne-clogging substances that make pores their home.
Glycolic Acid: Glycolic Acid is part of the alpha hydroxy acid family, and has the smallest molecular weight, allowing it to penetrate the pores faster than its counterparts.
Sulfur: Sulfur helps to dry out the skin, removing excess sebum which in turn can prevent breakouts from happening.

Custom Antioxidant and Peptide Blends: Antioxidant blends combine key skin ingredients that are known to help target and attack underlying causes of acne to bring you the best results. Some of our popular blends are as follows; Cran-peptide, Vitamin-C. Matrixyl® Synthe’6™, and Coffee Seed Extract.
The Face Reality Med Acne line is a specially formulated line that contains a proprietary blend of ingredients to really combat breakouts. They contain the more classic ingredients benzoyl peroxide and/or sulfur. Both of which have been shown as effective anti-acne agents.
Scientifically Proven Ingredients:
Face Reality products incorporate ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and retinol, which are known for their effectiveness in treating acne.
Benzoyl peroxide combats bacteria, exfoliates pores, and helps prevent future breakouts.
Salicylic acid also exfoliates and helps unclog pores.
Retinol promotes skin cell turnover, reducing inflammation and preventing new acne.
